A little while ago I got an email about a really cool product called Sizers that are designed to make those shoes ‘we bought because we loved them so much but were a size too big for us‘ a bit easier to wear. Basically, the Sizers come in 3 sizes to fit shoes that are a full size, half a size or a quarter size too big. So I was really excited to try these out because I do tend to buy some shoes and boots in a size bigger (just because they’re on sale or I love them too much).
When I first tried out the cushions I will admit it was a little weird having something spongey at my toes. But I wore the shoes and Sizers around my house for a day or so and eventually got used to them. I mainly used the half size cushion because this just seemed to fit my shoes better. Shoe sizes can vary from store to store anyway and I nearly always buy a UK size 6, without even really trying them on. The only trouble I had with them was that the majority of my shoes that were slightly too big were pointed toe shoes, and the cushions seem to be designed for a more rounded shaped shoe. But once I figured out how to position the Sizers properly in my shoes it was fine.
I took a few before and after pics just to show you how they work. Basically, the cushion pushes your foot back into your shoe, keeping your heel flushed to the back of your shoe so they don’t slip off.
