Today I’m heading to Kerry for the weekend with my mam. I’ve never been to Kerry so I’m pretty excited and we’re going to go visit my Granddad’s home place too. Of course any trip away means a bit of outfit planning, so I thought I’d show you my staples for a weekend away. I won’t be going out or anything down there so no heels necessary, so this consists of very comfortable attire.

Jeans: Probably an obvious one, but sometimes you feel like straying from your best fitting pair because you wear them so much. But there’s a reason for that. It’s becasue they fit perfectly and your ass looks great in them. Pack them!

Biker Jacket: If you’re not sure what the weather will be like, a leather/faux leather jacket is ideal. It’ll keep you warm and reasonably dry in this Irish weather. And looks perfectly chic with jeans and a simple top.

White Tee/Vest: A no brainer really, this will go with everything else you pack. It’s great for layering if it’s cold and perfect on it’s own if the sun pops out.

Denim Shirt/Plaid Shirt: These are ideal as an extra layer. When you’re out and about you can tie it around your waist, and if you get caught out in some bad weather you can quickly throw it on over your outfit.

Light Blouse/Shirt: This is a nice dressy piece which makes you look a bit more pulled together (if needs be). When you’re going out for lunch or dinner you might want to look a bit smarter.

Dressy Track pants: The next best thing to your PJ’s, these are great for lounging in your hotel room, but still look great if you need to pop out.

Comfy shoes: If you tend to get lost when you go somewhere new, you’ll need a comfy shoe for all that walking. And for the hours of shopping you’ll do. Bring a pair that will go with all your outfits so you won’t have to pack more than one pair of shoes (unless you fancy some heels).

Handbag: Apart from your big weekend bag, you’ll need a snug little handbag too. You can add a bit of colour to your outfits with this.

Fedora: Again, to add some colour to your outfits and to add some more interest to your look. Also great for keeping the rain off you.

Extras: Nice Lipstick, Perfume, Simple Jewellery, Sunglasses.

Laptop: If there’s free Wifi, make the most of it. I’ll hopefully be blogging and planning all weekend too so I can’t go without it.
